Till my strength was almost gone,
Longed my soul for something better,
Only still to hunger on.
Something that would satisfy,
But the dust I gathered round me
Only mocked my soul's sad cry.
Bread of life, so rich and free,
Untold wealth that never faileth,
My Redeemer is to me.
Lately, I've had these words running through my head. It's amazing how much time I spend feeding on husks or gathering dust. At the same time, I have tasted the water and the Bread, and I know that nothing else could ever satisfy again.
